McArthur to Offer Her Perspective on Education

The third and final fall 2022 installment of the “Comparing K-12 School Experiences from Around the World” virtual education series offered by the Arkansas Tech University College of Education and Health is scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 3.

Xela McArthur, first grade teacher in the Russellville School District, will be the featured speaker beginning at 4 p.m. Access her presentation at https://bit.ly/atuteacher3.

McArthur has more than 20 years of experience in education. She began her career working with deaf students and continues to utilize sign language in her teaching. A graduate of the ATU Master of Arts in Teaching degree program, McArthur has also worked as a long-term substitute teacher, an instructional aide and co-administrator for one of the largest after-school programs in Las Vegas, Nev. She has endorsements in English as a second language and virtual teaching.

The virtual lecture series is sponsored by ATU Department of Teaching and Educational Leadership, the ATU Office of Study Abroad and the Miller Center for Global Engagement at ATU.
