May 7 Deadline to Apply for CRRSAA Funds

Arkansas Tech University has announced an additional funding period where students may apply for Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act (CRRSAA) 2021 funds.

The CRRSAA provides the opportunity for financial aid grants that may be used for any component of an eligible student’s cost of attendance or for emergency costs that arise due to coronavirus, such as tuition, food, housing, health care (including mental health care) or childcare.

Unlike the CARES Act, which funded the previous emergency grants to students in 2020, the CRRSAA requires that institutions prioritize students with exceptional and demonstrated need.

CRRSAA grants will be administered by Arkansas Tech and awarded to students who are:

  • Degree-seeking
  • Enrolled at least half-time (six credit hours)
  • Have a 2020-21 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) on file before May 7, 2021
  • Have not previously received CRRSAA funding this semester

Funds will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. Applications will be processed in the order they are received, and an application does not guarantee funds will be awarded.

Application Information is available at www.atu.edu/finaid/CRRSAA.php.

The deadline to apply for CRRSAA funding at ATU is 5 p.m. Friday, May 7, 2021.

Further notification will be made if any additional funds are available in the future.
