Learn About Reducing Textbook Costs March 5

ATU Open Educational Resources

Arkansas Tech University faculty, staff and students interested in learning more about open educational resources are invited to an open house from noon-1 p.m. Wednesday, March 5, in Ross Pendergraft Library and Technology Center room 300A.

Sherry Tinerella, ATU associate librarian for public services, said the open house will include information about open educational resources (OER) and the zero textbook cost program at ATU.

“Past OER grant awardees will share their work and experiences in developing and using OER materials,” said Tinerella. “Students will learn how to register for zero cost textbook courses and how they can support the initiative.”

The open house is part of the open educational resources and zero textbook cost initiative housed in the ATU Division of Academic Affairs. The effort is rooted in a Leadership Tech project developed by members of cohort five during the 2022-23 academic year.
