Land, Broussard, Manning Win Inaugural Staff Awards

Arkansas Tech University Staff Senate has established a recognition program for ATU staff members on the Russellville campus and identified the inaugural winners of three new awards.

Daniel Land, assistant director of academic computer support and database administrator, was named ATU Outstanding Employee of the Year for 2023-24.

Land has served on the Arkansas Tech staff since 2006. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science and a Master of Science in information technology from ATU.

Rachel Broussard, coordinator of events management, received the 2023-24 ATU Service Award.

A member of the ATU staff since 2018, Broussard graduated from Arkansas Tech with a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology and a Master of Science degree in college student personnel.

Krystle Manning, patrol sergeant for community outreach in the ATU Department of Public Safety, earned the 2023-24 ATU Community Service Award.

Manning joined the ATU Department of Public Safety in 2019. She is completing her associate degree from Arkansas Tech this spring and is pursuing ATU’s Bachelor of Arts degree in organizational leadership.

The award winners were notified in person by Dr. Russell Jones, ATU interim president, with assistance from ATU Staff Senate officers Kristian Thompson (president) and Connie Herring (vice president).
