Dr. Kae Hashimoto Reed from the Arkansas Tech University Department of English and World Languages and the ATU Department of Music will continue her conversation series entitled “Manga Talk Series with Dr. Hashimoto” on Monday, Nov. 7.
Volume six in Hashimoto’s Manga talk series, “Jujutsu Kaisen,” will begin at 6 p.m. in Ross Pendergraft Library and Technology Center room 300B. Admission will be free and open to the public.
During the series, Hashimoto leads discussions about Japanese culture, history, art, religion and tourism through manga and anime. She founded the series during the 2021-22 academic year.
“Jujutsu Kaisen” is one of the most popular manga series. It includes perspectives on Japanese history and religion.
“The goals of the events are to increase knowledge of manga and anime watchers while enjoying their favorite stories, to foster grassroots advocacy of Japan in the community and to promote the world language program at ATU,” said Hashimoto.
