International Films Featured at ATU March 1-16

Arkansas Tech University students, faculty and staff are invited to attend the eighth annual International Film Festival at Arkansas Tech University during the spring 2023 semester.

Eight films in four languages will be screened during the festival. Below is a schedule of showings. Each screening is free, and each one will begin at 7 p.m. in the Doc Bryan Student Services Center Lecture Hall, 1605 Coliseum Drive in Russellville.

  • Wednesday, March 1: “Tony Manero” (Spanish with English subtitles)
  • Thursday, March 2: “Was tun, wenn’s brennt?” (German with English subtitles)
  • Tuesday, March 7: “Ramen Heads” (Japanese with English subtitles)
  • Wednesday, March 8: “La tête en friche” (French with English subtitles)
  • Thursday, March 9: “Madres paralelas” (Spanish with English subtitles)
  • Tuesday, March 14: “Es war einmal in Deutschland…” (German with English subtitles)
  • Wednesday, March 15: “Ghost in the Shell” (Japanese with English subtitles)
  • Thursday, March 16: “Elle s’appelait Sarah” (French with English subtitles)

The festival is organized by Philippe Van Houtte, ATU librarian and visiting lecturer of French.

Films are selected by members of the world languages faculty at Arkansas Tech.
