Arkansas Tech University-Ozark Campus has received a $68,549 grant from the Blue and You Foundation for a Healthier Arkansas.

The funds will provide enhanced equipment for nursing students at ATU-Ozark, including technology that will help students learn how to care for newborns and infants.

“We are grateful for this grant funding and the difference it will make in the preparation of our nursing students,” said Dr. Sheila Jacobs, chief academic officer at ATU-Ozark. “Providing industry-standard classroom and laboratory experiences is an essential aspect of our career education mission at ATU-Ozark. The addition of this equipment will enhance our efforts in that realm and support our goal of continuous improvement reflective of the rapidly evolving roles our graduates fill in the workforce.”

The Blue and You Foundation is a charitable foundation established and funded by Arkansas Blue Cross and Blue Shield to promote better health in the Natural State. Since 2001, the Blue and You Foundation has awarded more than $45 million to nonprofits and governmental agencies in all 75 counties.
