Arkansas Tech University business students who wish to study abroad in Germany will soon have access to a new funding source.

Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen, a partner university of ATU located in Giessen, Germany, received approximately $62,500 in grant funds from the Erasmus+ program. The Erasmus+ grants, which are awarded by the European Union to support study abroad programs, include considerations for minority, lower income and first generation students.

Gabriele Haulmark, instructor of German and English and study abroad coordinator at ATU, said the funds are anticipated to be available beginning in the spring 2023 semester.
