Arkansas Tech University alumnus Bryan Fisher is the next vice president for advancement and executive vice president of the ATU Foundation at his alma mater.
ATU President Dr. Russell Jones announced the appointment on Tuesday, May 13.
“Over the course of his employment at Arkansas Tech, Mr. Fisher has made himself an expert in the field of university advancement,” said Jones. “As a lifelong Wonder Boy, he has a deep understanding of Arkansas Tech, its people and its opportunities. He is prepared to lead our advancement division, build and strengthen relationships with those who share our affection for Arkansas Tech and help our alumni and friends achieve their philanthropic goals through their support of Arkansas Tech.”
A product of Russellville High School, Fisher earned four letters as a member of the Arkansas Tech football team from 1995-98. He graduated from ATU with a Bachelor of Science degree in natural science in 1999.
After owning and operating an insurance agency from 2000-11, Fisher returned to Arkansas Tech in 2011 as director of athletic relations. He was promoted to associate vice president for development in 2017 and was named interim vice president for advancement in December 2024.
As associate vice president, Fisher played a leadership role in the “Together, We Can” comprehensive capital campaign for Arkansas Tech. The campaign raised $55 million to support scholarships, student success programs, innovation initiatives and the construction of Ferguson Student Union.
Fisher’s appointment to the vice president position on a permanent basis is effective June 1, 2025.
“I am humbled and honored by the opportunity to serve Arkansas Tech University in this capacity,” said Fisher. “As the third generation of my family to graduate from this institution, I was taught from an early age about the value and importance of Arkansas Tech. Our university has always been a place of opportunity. Through our efforts in the ATU Division of Advancement and the ATU Foundation, we will help Arkansas Tech continue to fulfill that promise to current and future students. I am grateful to Dr. Jones for his confidence in me and his support.”
