Arkansas Tech University-Ozark Campus has announced Tangela Felkins as program chair for the ATU-Ozark practical nursing program.
Felkins earned an associate degree in nursing from Westark Community College and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Arkansas Tech University.
She has more than 30 years of experience as a registered nurse and has served as a practical nursing instructor for ATU-Ozark since 2016.
Felkins is nationally certified and recognized as a medical surgical nurse specialist.
“It is both an honor and a privilege to step into the role of program chair for our practical nursing program,” said Felkins. “I am excited to work alongside our dedicated faculty, staff and students as we shape the next generation of compassionate, skilled nurses. The PN
program is excited to play a role in empowering our students to lead, serve and make a positive impact on health care.”
