Arkansas Tech University Faculty Senate has selected Dr. Jacob Grosskopf as its first ATU faculty member of the month for the 2025-26 academic year.
The recognition is based upon Grosskopf’s efforts as Arkansas Governor’s School director during summer 2025. He provided leadership for a program that hosted 360 rising high school seniors from Arkansas on the ATU campus in Russellville during a four-week period beginning Sunday, July 6, and continuing through Saturday, Aug. 2.
Grosskopf is associate professor of geology at Arkansas Tech. He joined the ATU faculty in 2016. Grosskopf holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Louisiana Tech University and Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy degrees from Louisiana State University.
The ATU faculty member of the month program is a new initiative introduced by Dr. Michael Rogers, who is serving as chair of ATU Faculty Senate during the 2025-26 academic year.
