Arkansas Tech University students who meet the eligibility requirements are invited to register for the 68th Miss Arkansas Tech University scholarship pageant, which is scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 9, at Witherspoon Auditorium.
The deadline to apply as a contestant for Miss Tech 2024 is 5 p.m. Friday, Feb. 2.
Eligible ATU students with an interest in applying to become a contestant in the 2024 Miss Tech pageant may apply by following these steps:
- Go to missamerica.org
- On the tabs section at the top of the page, select “The Competition”
- Select “Check Eligibility” from “The Competition” drop down
- Scroll down and select “START HERE: Register”
- Select “Arkansas”
- Begin filling out the registration form
- Select “Complete Registration” once on next page and pay $39.99
- Now you’re registered for the Miss America Organization
- Go to missarkansas.org
- Select “Portal” from the tabs section at the top of the page
- Select “Local Contestant Portal” from the Portal drop down
- Begin filling out your candidate information and update your record

The Miss Arkansas Tech University pageant is an official preliminary to the Miss America pageant, and the winner will be a contestant in the 2024 Miss Arkansas pageant.
Contestants in the Miss Arkansas Tech University pageant must be full-time, female ATU students and U.S. citizens. Contestants must have been born between 1996 and 2006. Competition categories for 2024 will be personal interview, health and fitness, on-stage conversation, evening gown and talent. All contestants are required to order fitness wear from Rebel Athletic in advance of the pageant.
The new Miss Tech will receive a two-semester tuition scholarship at Arkansas Tech. In all, more than $23,000 in gifts and scholarships were awarded during the 2023 Miss Tech pageant.
Hannah Lomax of Russellville was crowned Miss Tech 2023. Lomax and Miss Arkansas 2023 Cori Keller of Stuttgart are scheduled to provide special entertainment at the 2024 Miss Arkansas Tech University pageant.
The Miss Tech pageant is sponsored by Delta Zeta sorority.
Dr. Jim Collins, professor emeritus of agriculture, serves as Miss Tech executive director and master of ceremonies.
