Dr. Kae Hashimoto Reed will offer volume two of her conversation series about Japan at 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 15, in Ross Pendergraft Library and Technology Center room 300A.

The theme of the Nov. 15 conversation will be “Demon Slayer,” which is a popular manga and anime series that originates in Japan. Hashimoto will lead attendees in a discussion about the linguistical, historical, artistic, religious and clothing themes reflective of Japanese culture that are present in the series’ storyline.

“The goals of the events are to increase knowledge of manga and anime watchers while enjoying their favorite stories, to foster grassroots advocacy of Japan in the community and to promote the world language program at ATU,” said Hashimoto.

Hashimoto is visiting lecturer of music and Japanese at Arkansas Tech.
