
“The Earth Still Sings,” a concert featuring the Arkansas Tech University choral music program, is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 19.
The performance will take place in Witherspoon Auditorium, 407 West Q Street on the ATU campus in Russellville. Admission will be free and open to the public.
The ATU Choral Artists, ATU University Singers and ATU Concert Chorale will all sing during the concert.
Dr. Katherine Rohwer, ATU director of choral activities and assistant professor of music, and Dr. Jon Clements, ATU professor of music, will conduct the choirs.
The performance groups will be accompanied by pianists Dr. Mary Trotter, ATU assistant professor of music, and Garrett Snavely as well as percussionist Dr. Cory Fica, ATU instructor of music.
The home performance on Oct. 19 will be preceded by an ATU choir tour Wednesday, Oct. 15, through Friday, Oct. 17. The tour will provide showcases for the ATU choral music program at Bentonville High School, Bentonville West High School, Fayetteville High School, Russellville High School, Springdale Har-Ber High School, Van Buren High School and St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Altus.
