Siblings Harrison Baker and Hannah Baker of Mountain Home emerged as champions of the inaugural Arkansas Tech University Family Day pickleball tournament on Saturday, Sept. 27.
Thirteen teams participated in the double elimination tournament, which was held at the Clary Pickleball Courts on the ATU campus in Russellville.
Kevin Solomon, ATU assistant vice president for campus life, reported that the field consisted of a variety of teams. There were father-son, mother-daughter, father-daughter and brother-sister duos. There were experienced teams, and there were teams that were playing pickleball for the first time.
Solomon said the plan is for the pickleball tournament to be part of the ATU Family Day schedule again in 2026.
