ATU’s Stevens Chosen for National Board Appointment

Dr. Robert Stevens ATU

Arkansas Tech University faculty member Dr. Robert L. Stevens has earned election to the National Rehabilitation Counseling Association (NRCA) Board of Directors.

According to its website, the mission of the NRCA is “to facilitate the fulfillment of human potential and to promote global understanding of inclusivity.”

Founded in 1958, the NRCA the oldest professional organization representing rehabilitation counselors.

Stevens is assistant professor of rehabilitation science at ATU. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Central Arkansas, a Master of Science degree from the University of Arkansas and a Doctor of Philosophy degree from Ohio University before joining the Arkansas Tech faculty in 2017.

A member of Leadership Tech cohort five, Stevens was a member of the committee that developed the ATU Strategic Plan for Inclusive Excellence.
