Blandy Reyes, coordinator for campus visit experience in the Arkansas Tech University Office of Admissions, is a 2026 recipient of the Mamás Unidas LR Champions of Education award.
She received the honor during a ceremony at Lacey Academy in Little Rock on Saturday, April 25. Reyes was one of six individuals to receive the Champions of Education award for 2026.
According to information provided by Mamás Unidas LR, the Champions of Education award “honors educators, staff or community members who demonstrate exceptional dedication to student success, providing support and motivation to help students pursue post-secondary education and a better future.”
Mamás Unidas LR is a non-profit organization based in central Arkansas that supports families — with an emphasis on low-income, first-generation and Spanish-speaking households — as they explore routes to post-secondary education.
An alumna of Arkansas Tech, Reyes joined the ATU Office of Admissions staff in February 2025. Her interest in helping others navigate their pathway to higher education was developed during her time as a student worker in the Roy and Christine Sturgis Academic Advising Center at ATU.
