ATU’s Bell Recognized With Service Award

Arkansas Tech University faculty member Dr. David Bell received the 2021 Nancy P. Gallavan Distinguished Service Award from the Arkansas Association of Teacher Educators (ArATE) on Friday, Sept. 24.

Criteria for the award states that it is designed to "recognize persons who have made cumulative significant contributions to ArATE over a period of at least 10 years for their service to the organization and their contributions to teacher education in the state of Arkansas."

Bell holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Arkansas Tech. He obtained his Master of Education and Doctor of Education degrees from the University of Arkansas.

A member of the ATU faculty since 1988, Bell is professor of curriculum and instruction and head of educator licensure and support services in the ATU College of Education.
