Arkansas Tech University President Dr. Russell Jones surprised three members of the ATU staff on Tuesday, Feb. 25, by dropping by their offices to inform them that they are the winners of the top staff awards at Arkansas Tech for 2025.
Ryan Taylor, video production manager in the ATU marketing office, is the ATU outstanding employee of the year award recipient in recognition of outstanding and meritorious service and performance.
Scott Tomlin, coordinator of the ATU Learning Center, is the winner of the ATU service award in recognition of distinctive service through committees, special events, the implementation of creative ideas and/or support and encouragement of others.
Caroline Kitchens, director of alumni relations, is the ATU community service award winner in recognition of organizing community events and/or major achievements in civic, service or specialty organizations and events.
ATU Staff Senate established the awards in 2024. The awards are selected through a vote of the staff members’ peers.
