Seven Arkansas Tech University students have earned leadership roles on the ATU Student Government Association executive board for the fall 2026 semester.
Courtney Mayberry of East End is serving as ATU SGA president. Her previous SGA experience includes fulfilling the duties of secretary of public relations during the 2025-26 academic year.
Mayberry is joined on the ATU Student Government Association executive board by Fernando Flores of Clarksville (vice president), Kaitlyn McGuire of Bono (secretary of finance and administration), Addison Turner of Springdale (secretary of student engagement), Lucy LaDuke of Hot Springs (secretary of public relations), Rose Gunther of Bigelow (secretary of community outreach) and Cain Harmon of Magazine (secretary of internal affairs).
Amy Pennington, ATU vice president for student affairs, and Kevin Solomon, ATU assistant vice president for campus life, serve as advisors to ATU Student Government Association.
The published mission statement for ATU Student Government Association is “to genuinely represent the interests of students and enhance the student decision-making process, to improve campus life through the creation and continuation of viable and effective student services, to preserve and protect the traditions of the university and to support students and student organizations in their academic and community endeavors.”
ATU Student Government Association meets at 12:05 p.m. each Wednesday during the fall and spring semesters. The meetings take place in the Travis Adams Leadership Room in Ferguson Student Union.
