ATU-Ozark Enrollment Tops 2,000 for Fall 2023

Arkansas Tech University-Ozark Campus announced a fall 2023 11th class day enrollment of 2,004 students, an increase of almost 16 percent from the previous fall semester.

Enrollment increases include 5 percent in incoming freshmen, a 30 percent increase in high school concurrent credit, a 7 percent increase in returning students and a 13.5 percent increase in transfer students.

“Arkansas Tech University-Ozark Campus is excited to see an increase in enrollment for the fall 2023 semester,” said Richard Harris, chief student officer at ATU-Ozark. “This is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our faculty and staff, who are committed to providing our students with a quality education in high-demand job fields. We are proud to serve the Arkansas River Valley community and look forward to helping our students reach their academic goals.”

Arkansas Tech Career Center (ATCC) increased its total student enrollment by over 200 students with enrollment trends reflecting workforce needs in the region.

“ATCC’s growth is indicative of strategic efforts to inform students and their families about the career pathways and certificates of proficiency offered at ATCC,” said Pat Edmunds, ATCC director.

“The Ozark Campus has positioned itself to be a tremendous resource for our communities and their workforce educational needs,” said Dr. Sheila Jacobs, ATU-Ozark interim chancellor and chief academic officer. “We are extremely proud of our continued growth and the dedication of our staff, faculty and community stakeholders. ATU-Ozark offers robust programming designed to serve the region and state in high-demand careers in the skilled trades, health care, automation, business, law enforcement, banking, computer information technology, cosmetology science, logistics and general studies.”
