Nursing students at Arkansas Tech University banded together during the month of November to support non-profit organizations in the Arkansas River Valley.
The ATU Student Nurses Association and the ATU chapter of Sigma Theta Tau collected 4,337 diapers for Choices Pregnancy Resource Clinic and 2,613 containers of food for RIver Valley Food 4 Kids.
The Student Nurses Association is a national organization that helps students develop leadership skills, convey standards and care for their community. ATU’s chapter of the organization has approximately 120 members.
Sigma Theta Tau is a national honor society of nurses that supports nursing leadership, education and research.
