ATU Nursing Students Give to Project Linus

ATU Student Nurses Project Linus 2024
Arkansas Tech University nursing students display the outcomes of their work to produce blankets for Project Linus during the fall 2024 semester.

Arkansas Tech University nursing students participated in the national Project Linus community service project during the fall 2024 semester.

Operating under the auspices of the ATU Student Nurse Association and the Omega Iota chapter of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, the ATU nursing students made fleece blankets that will be donated to children who are seriously ill, traumatized or otherwise in need.

Named after the character from the “Charlie Brown” cartoon strip and subsequent motion pictures, Project Linus has more than 300 chapters across the United States. ATU student nurses donate through the Project Linus Central Arkansas chapter, which has donated more than 1,400 blankets since it was founded in 2017.
