Band camp season at Arkansas Tech University for 2025 is drawing to a close with the middle school band camp.
The camp began on Sunday, July 13, and will conclude with a series of concerts at Witherspoon Auditorium on Thursday, July 17. The performances will begin at 6:30 p.m.
Founded in 1964 by Gene Witherspoon, ATU band camps have provided thousands of young performers with a primer in instrumental music while also serving as an introduction to campus for generations of future Arkansas Tech students.
This year’s Arkansas Tech band camps began with a marching arts weekend June 12-15. The 2025 ATU senior high band camp took place June 15-19, while the 2025 ATU junior high band camp was held June 22-26.
