ATU, ADH Offer Incentives for COVID-19 Vaccination

Members of the Arkansas Tech University community who wish to become vaccinated against COVID-19 will have opportunities to do so at on-campus events this week.

The Arkansas Department of Health will provide Johnson and Johnson COVID-19 vaccinations to ATU faculty, staff and students from 2-4 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 16, on the north lawn of Doc Bryan Student Services Center and 2-4 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 17, on the west lawn of Chambers Cafeteria.

There will be an additional ADH COVID-19 vaccination event for ATU faculty, staff and students from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 18, in the Hull Building Student Union. The Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine will be available on Aug. 18 and ADH will return at the appropriate time to provide a second dose to participants.

Each person who attends the ADH vaccine clinics at ATU Aug. 16-18 and receives a COVID-19 vaccine will receive a T-shirt while supplies last. Vaccine recipients will also be presented with their choice of a lottery ticket or a $20 Arkansas Game and Fish Commission gift certificate from the Arkansas Department of Health.

ATU students who receive a COVID-19 vaccine during the Aug. 16-18 on-campus clinics will be entered into a drawing for these prizes:
