Arts and Humanities Doles Out 2022-23 Awards

Dr. Jeffrey Cass, dean of the Arkansas Tech University College of Arts and Humanities, presented awards to faculty and staff on Wednesday, April 26.

The Arkansas Tech University College of Arts and Humanities hosted its spring 2023 awards and recognition reception at Witherspoon Hall on Wednesday, April 26.

Dr. Jeffrey Cass, dean of the ATU College of Arts and Humanities, presided over the event.

The following individuals received college-wide awards:

Dean’s Choice Award
Frances Roberson, assistant professor of theatre and film and technical director of theatre

Staff Award for Distinguished Service
Janet Carnahan-Lee, administrative specialist

Adjunct Faculty Award
Donna Ogle, visiting lecturer of English

Mentor Award for Distinguished Student Advising
Megan Toland, assistant professor of journalism

The ATU College of Arts and Humanities also recognized its retiring faculty members: Holly Ruth Gale, Dr H. Micheal Tarver, Elaine Tise and Dr. Deborah Wilson.

Members of the ATU College of Arts and Humanities faculty who reached service milestones during the 2022-23 academic year and those who achieved promotion and/or tenure during 2022-23 were also honored.
