Arkansas Tech Students Attend Leadership Event

Ten Arkansas Tech University students participated in the 2022 Leadership Challenge Event hosted by the Washburn University Leadership Institute March 3-4 in Topeka, Kan.

According to the Leadership Challenge Event website, the program “challenges students to address a variety of problems and situations where the outcome of the simulation is dependent on the leadership decisions made throughout the course of the competition.”

Arkansas Tech’s student representatives at the 2022 Leadership Challenge Event were Kaine Elam of Bentonville, Maddy Hughes of Bentonville, Emma Immel of Clarksville, Jace Kennedy of Springdale, J.W. Lewis of Fort Worth, Texas, Whitney McQuiston of Huntsville, Lesly Mendez of Little Rock, Olivia Rowe of Paragould, Dalton Savell of Texarkana and Taylor Wilkerson of Texarkana.

The students, all of whom are enrolled in the leadership studies minor at ATU, were advised by Dr. Jeremy Schwehm, ATU associate professor of professional studies and program coordinator for the leadership studies minor, and Jana Crouch, ATU associate director for enrollment.
