Arkansas Tech Coed Cheer Qualifies for NCA Nationals

Arkansas Tech Coed Cheer at NCA Camp August 2025

The Arkansas Tech University coed cheerleaders earned the blue superior ribbon, school spirit award and a bronze bid to the National Cheerleaders Association (NCA) College National Championship during an NCA college camp Aug. 2-3 in Fort Smith.

ATU earned the blue superior ribbon with a 9.8 out of 10 score during the spirit rally competition.

Arkansas Tech was the only university in attendance at the Fort Smith camp to capture the school spirit award. It is based on game day excellence, crowd engagement and overall spirit.

“These achievements reflect the hard work, pride and passion our student-athletes bring to the Arkansas Tech community,” said Krystal Shipp, ATU coed cheerleaders coach. “We are incredibly proud of their efforts and are looking forward to an exciting season ahead.”

With the bronze bid to the NCA College National Championship, Arkansas Tech qualifies for discounted registration fee and priority hotel accommodations. The competition is scheduled for April 8-11, 2026, in Daytona Beach, Fla.

“If anyone would like to support the team’s journey to NCA College Nationals in Daytona Beach, donations are greatly appreciated,” said Shipp. “Every contribution helps make this dream a reality for our student-athletes.”
