Arkansas Tech University will host the Arkansas Supreme Court Appeals on Wheels program at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 22.
The session will take place in the Bibler Event Center at Ferguson Student Union, 215 West O Street on the ATU campus in Russellville. Admission will be free and open to the public, but seating in Bibler Event Center at Ferguson Student Union will be limited. Since 2002, the Arkansas Supreme Court has enhanced access to view judicial proceedings in person by offering its Appeals on Wheels program at locations around the Natural State. This will mark the second time the program has been carried out in Russellville. The previous occasion was in fall 2014.
According to information provided by the Arkansas Supreme Court, local students and community members are invited to watch an oral argument and ask the justices questions about the court system afterward.
