A senior capstone project by Arkansas Tech University student Kaleb Young will provide several candidates for elected public office with an opportunity to speak about issues of the day.
Young has planned an event entitled “Candidates on Campus.” It will begin at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 20, in Witherspoon Auditorium, 407 West Q Street on the ATU campus in Russellville. Admission will be free and open to the public.
Young reported that as of Wednesday, Oct. 7, he has received confirmation that candidates Matt Duffield, Jennifer Lewter, Deonna Morgan, James Russell and Colt Shelby are planning on participating in the Oct. 20 event. He said he is in contact with other candidates to finalize participation.
