More than 25 Arkansas Tech University faculty and staff members participated in an event entitled “Day at the Plant” at Arkansas Nuclear One on Monday, Aug. 17.
The event provided attendees with an opportunity to learn more about nuclear energy, tour the facility, explore career opportunities for students and gain a better understanding of ANO’s role in the Arkansas River Valley.
A similar event for ATU students is being planned for October.
“Day at the Plant” was made possible through a collaboration by Arkansas Nuclear One and the ATU Center for Community Engagement and Academic Outreach.
