Six individuals are serving as officers for the Omega Iota chapter of Sigma, the international honor society for nurses, during the 2026-27 academic year.
The officers for the honor society’s Arkansas Tech University chapter are Dr. Cheryl Monfee, president; Dr. Brittany Burris, president-elect; Dr. Jaye Henderson, secretary; Dr. Karmen Goodner, treasurer; Dr. Shaana Escobar, counselor; and Dr. Lisa Harless, webmaster.
Membership in the Omega Iota chapter of Sigma is open to students graduating from the ATU nursing program in the top one-third of their class and community nursing leaders.
The organization’s next induction ceremony and meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. Monday, Sept. 21, in Doc Bryan Student Services Center Lecture Hall.
