The Arkansas Tech University marching band, “Arkansas’ Band of Distinction,” will celebrate some of the acts that have performed at ATU’s Tucker Coliseum over the past half-century during its fall 2026 halftime show.
Entitled “Jerry’s Jukebox: A Tribute to the Musical History of Tucker Coliseum,” the show will feature music made famous by Metallica, Maynard Ferguson, Gloria Estefan and the Miami Sound Machine and Styx. Each of those acts, and dozens of other noteworthy musical performers, have graced the stage at Tucker Coliseum since it opened in 1976.
Arkansas’ Band of Distinction appears at ATU home football games and a variety of parades and marching exhibitions.
Dr. Daniel A. Belongia, ATU professor of music, is entering his 12th year as director of bands at Arkansas Tech. Dr. Adam Miller is beginning his second year as ATU assistant professor of music, associate director of bands and director of athletic bands.
