ATU-Ozark Classes Coming to Russellville in Fall 2026

ATU-Ozark Automotive Service Technology
Automotive service technology is one of the Arkansas Tech University-Ozark Campus disciplines that will be taught at Arkansas Tech Career Center in Russellville during fall 2026.

Students who wish to pursue career education and technical training provided by Arkansas Tech University-Ozark Campus will have the opportunity to do so in Russellville during the fall 2026 semester.

The evening classes will take place at Arkansas Tech Career Center in the program areas of automotive service technology, air conditioning and refrigeration/facilities maintenance and welding technology. Business English and technical math will also be offered.

“Expanding ATU-Ozark classes to Arkansas Tech Career Center in Russellville is about meeting students where they are and removing barriers to workforce training,” said Dr. Sheila R. Jacobs, ATU-Ozark chancellor. “By increasing access to skilled trades programs such as welding, automotive technology and facilities maintenance, we are creating more opportunities for individuals to upskill, complete technical certificates and enter high-demand careers that directly support the workforce needs of the Arkansas River Valley and beyond.”

Arkansas Tech Career Center is located behind Russellville High School at 2201 S. Knoxville Ave. Students will have the opportunity to complete their Technical Certificate with tuition and fees 100 percent covered through the Arkansas Future Grant.

Below is the list of classes offered along with the corresponding days and times:

  • Automotive: Intro to Auto Drivetrains, Tuesdays 5-8 p.m.
  • Advanced Auto Electronics, Thursdays 5-8 p.m.
  • Facilities Maintenance: Carpentry, Tuesdays 5:30-7:20 p.m.
  • Welding: Position Welding, Tuesdays 5-8:20 p.m. and Thursdays 7-8:20 p.m.
  • Metallurgy, Thursdays 5-6:50 p.m.
  • Business English, Wednesdays 5:30-8:20 p.m.
  • Technical Math, Tuesdays 5:30-8:20 p.m. (Morton Hall)
