Three Arkansas Tech University students earned recognition for their entries in the spring 2026 ATU Music Production Contest sponsored by Ross Pendergraft Library and Technology Center.
Roman Gonzalez of Clarksville (first place, $200), Jordan Gilliam of Cabot (second place, $100) and Ariel Mitchell of Greenbrier (third place, $50) were selected as the three award-winning finalists.
The competition called for ATU students to submit original music composed and produced by the contestant. All genres and styles of music were welcome.
Dr. Lowell Lybarger, ATU multimedia librarian, served as coordinator for the competition.
Dr. Erin Futterer (ATU instructor of music), Dr. Nate Chapman (ATU associate professor of sociology and criminal justice) and Jason Lowe (professional content creator and a multi-instrumentalist, producer and songwriter) served as competition judges.
All three tracks by the competition finalists are available for listening below.
