Upward Trend in Student Retention Continues at ATU

Continued strength in student retention highlights the spring 2026 enrollment report for Arkansas Tech University.

ATU retained 85.8 percent of its first-time students on the Russellville campus from the fall 2025 semester to the spring 2026 semester. It marks the fourth consecutive year that ATU in Russellville has topped 85 percent in first-semester retention, the longest such streak in more than a decade.

At ATU-Ozark Campus, fall 2025 to spring 2026 retention for first-time students was 79 percent. First-semester retention at ATU-Ozark for the 2023 through 2025 cohorts was 79.4 percent as compared to 69.2 percent from 2020-22.

Overall, student semester credit hour production at Arkansas Tech is down 1 percent in spring 2026 as compared to spring 2025. There are 7,835 students enrolled at ATU for spring 2026.

Included in the spring 2026 enrollment at Arkansas Tech are 6,161 students on the Russellville campus and 1,674 students on the Ozark campus.
