Fifteen Arkansas Tech University students completed internships through an initiative in the ATU Department of Behavioral Sciences during the fall 2025 semester.
The students, listed with the organization they served during the fall 2025 semester, are:

- Emily Joshlin – Area Agency on Aging
- Ezra Kinsey – River Valley Child Advocacy Center
- Nickalas Mechtel – 100 Families
- Kaesha Mendez – Joseph’s House
- Rebecca Rankin- MARVA
- Gracen Roberts – Ozark Rape Crisis Center
- Cimberli Stillian – Project Hope Arkansas
- Gabriel Strickland – Russellville Housing Authority
The internship program was created by Dr. Julie Mikles-Schluterman, ATU professor of sociology and director of the ATU Center for Community Engagement and Academic Outreach, and Dr. Jason Warnick, ATU professor of psychology.
Designed to provide students with hands-on experience in their field, the internship program connects participants with industry professionals as a means of fostering career development and real-world skills.
Interns must be sociology or psychology majors, maintain a grade point average of 3.5 or higher and secure a recommendation from an ATU Department of Behavioral Science faculty member.
