Arkansas Tech University will host a ribbon cutting ceremony for its new Farm Credit Agriculture Building at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 10.

The building is located on the north side of the ATU campus in Russellville, adjacent to the ATU Greenhouses and the Dr. James “Jim” Collins Agriculture Classroom.

Attendance at the ribbon cutting ceremony is open to the public.

Farm Credit, Arkansas Farm Bureau, Greenway Equipment and Arvest Bank are among the financial contributors who made the construction project possible. The building is outfitted with equipment provided by a federal grant earned for ATU by Congressman Steve Womack.

The Farm Credit Agriculture Building houses welding equipment, a tool storage area, classroom space, laboratory space and other equipment. It will begin hosting classes during the spring 2026 semester.
