Arkansas Tech University Department of Nursing faculty members and ATU nursing alumni collaborated to provide Stop the Bleed education and certification to more than 140 nursing students at the 2025 Arkansas Nursing Student Association Conference.
The conference took place in Little Rock Oct. 16-17.
Stop the Bleed trainers included (from left-to-right): Madison Mourot, registered nurse, Conway Regional Health System; Dr. Shelly Daily, ATU professor of nursing and head of the ATU Department of Nursing; Dr. Cheryl Monfee, ATU professor of nursing and region one director for the Arkansas Nurses Association; Tim Tanner, St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center emergency room nurse manager and stroke coordinator; and Lashanda Head, St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center trauma coordinator.
