All interested Arkansas Tech University students are invited to an informational meeting concerning the ATU speech and debate team on Wednesday, Aug. 27.
The meeting will take place from 3-5 p.m. in Energy Center room 134.
Team tryouts are scheduled for 3 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 3, in Energy Center room 134.
“This fall, the team will be competing in five tournaments and also hosting a tournament here at ATU,” said Dr. Gabriel Adkins, ATU professor of communication and director of the ATU speech and debate team. “In the spring semester, the team will be competing in several additional regular season tournaments before concluding their season by competing at both the IPDA (International Public Debate Association) and Pi Kappa Delta national championship tournaments.”
