How to Apply for Spring ’26 Admission to ATU Nursing

ATU Nursing Labs 2022
Arkansas Tech University nursing students benefit from the technology available in laboratories at Dean Hall.

The Arkansas Tech University Department of Nursing on the Russellville campus is accepting applications for spring 2026 admission to its Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree program, its LPN-to-BSN (traditional and hybrid) degree program and its RN-to-BSN degree program.

For current students, BSN and LPN-to-BSN applications are submitted online within Blackboard:

  • Sign into Blackboard
  • Go to “Organizations” (left side of page)
  • Access the “Upper Division Nursing Application” (if the course is not available, call the ATU Department of Nursing at (479) 968-0383 to request access)
  • Under “Organization Content”, select the appropriate program application: pre-licensure (not yet licensed or LPN applying for the traditional program); LPN-to-BSN (current licensed practical nurses only); or RN-to-BSN (current registered nurses only).

Applicants must submit their application form, a copy of their TEAS score, proof of LPN or RN licensure and licensed nurse work verification from employer (form provided in Blackboard) to the ATU Department of Nursing by Sept. 15, 2025, for BSN applicants and Nov. 3, 2025, for LPN hybrid applicants. The application cycle for the online RN-to-BSN will remain open until all positions are filled.

Hybrid LPN applicants must provide proof of at least 1,000 hours of practice as an LPN within the previous 12-to-24 months of application or prior to clinical coursework. RN-to-BSN applicants do not have to submit a work verification form if they graduated less than 12 months prior to date of application.

Applicants not currently attending ATU should contact the ATU Department of Nursing at nurs@atu.edu or (479) 968-0383 to request an application.

For more information, potential applicants may ask their academic advisor or contact the ATU Department of Nursing at (479) 968-0383.
