Arkansas Tech University opened its 2020 baseball season with three losses at the Houston Winter Invitational.
The Wonder Boys fell to Millersville University (Pa.) 7-2 on Friday, Colorado School of Mines 6-2 on Saturday and Flagler College (Fla.) 10-7 on Sunday.
Evan Hafley was ATU’s top performer at the plate. He went 6-for-11 with a home run and three runs batted in during the invitational, which was played at Minute Maid Park in Houston, Texas.
Tech’s Stormy Taylor was 5-for-12, while Patrick Miner collected three RBIs.
The Wonder Boys (0-3) are scheduled to face the University of Central Missouri for a four-game series in Warrensburg, Mo., beginning Friday, Feb. 7.
