Arkansas Tech University-Ozark Campus graduate Shauna Graham of Lamar is the 2022 Arkansas Health Information Management Association student of the year.

Graham completed her Associate of Science degree in health information technology from ATU-Ozark in December 2021. It marked the next step in a journey that has seen Graham own and operate a small business for more than 20 years before transitioning to a new career path.

“I was very humbled and honored to receive my outstanding student award,” said Graham. “I am very thankful for the ATU staff and that this college works to promote their students and recognize their dedication to their school career.”

Graham was active in the ATU-Ozark Chancellor’s Cabinet student organization during her time on campus.

“I participated in cabinet meetings with community members and ATU staff,” said Graham. “I also had a meeting with Mr. (Bruce) Sikes and Ms. (Beverly) Nehus to discuss the challenges of being an older student who came back to school to prepare for a new career. I am very proud to be a part of the ATU alumni and have met many beautiful classmates and instructors with whom I have formed lasting friendships.”
