One win and two losses during the final days of the pandemic-shortened 2020 tennis season left Arkansas Tech University with a final overall record of 6-6.
Northwest Missouri State University defeated the Golden Suns 4-3 on Saturday and Drury University topped ATU 6-1 on Sunday in a pair of non-conference matches at Springfield, Mo.
The Golden Suns bounced back to defeat Emporia State University 6-1 on Tuesday at the Chartwells Women’s Sports Complex in Russellville in what turned out to be their final match of the season.
Arkansas Tech’s season was cut short on Thursday, March 12, when the Great American Conference, in accordance with measures taken by the National Collegiate Athletic Association, canceled the remainder of the 2019-20 athletic season due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
