Golden Suns Take Four-Set Win Over Drury

Arkansas Tech University toppled the leader in the Great Lakes Valley Conference volleyball standings during a non-conference match at Tucker Coliseum in Russellville on Tuesday night.

The Golden Suns defeated Drury University 25-19, 25-21, 21-25, 25-20 by placing three players in double figures in kills.

Rilie Vote led the way with 17 kills, followed by Allie Anderson (16 kills) and Mackenzie Eford (11 kills).

Brianna Merkel notched 30 assists, Madison Grantham made 15 digs and Greer Rogers recorded nine total blocks for Arkansas Tech (14-8).

Makina Wratten had a match-high 19 kills for Drury (13-11).

The Golden Suns will visit Southern Nazarene University for a 4 p.m. Great American Conference match at Bethany, Okla., on Friday, Oct. 25.
