Stephanie Duffield of Russellville took the oath of office and officially became a member of the Arkansas Tech University Board of Trustees at Chambers Cafeteria West Dining Room on Wednesday, Jan. 17.

Gov. Asa Hutchinson appointed Duffield for a five-year term through Jan. 14, 2023. She succeeds Leigh Whiteside of Russellville, who was chairman of the Arkansas Tech Board of Trustees in 2017. Whiteside served on the board from 2008-18.

A 2005 graduate of ATU with a Bachelor of Arts degree in international studies and a concentration in business, Duffield is employed as special projects coordinator for Blackstone Construction LLC of Russellville. Her previous work experience includes Microplane/Grace Manufacturing of Russellville and Heifer International, headquartered in Little Rock.

Duffield has given volunteer service to the ATU Foundation Board of Directors, the RussVegas Foot Races Foundation, the First United Methodist Church of Russellville’s Children’s Coordinating Committee, Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) and the Pope County Literacy Council.

She and her husband, Luke Duffield, are parents to four daughters.

Returning members of the Arkansas Tech Board of Trustees for 2018 are Charles Blanchard of Russellville, Eric Burnett of Fort Smith, Tom Kennedy of Little Rock and Fritz Kronberger of Russellville.
