The Arkansas Tech University College of Arts and Humanities hosted its spring 2025 awards and recognition reception at Witherspoon Hall on Thursday, May 1.
Dr. Jeffrey Cass, dean of the ATU College of Arts and Humanities, presided over the event.

Dr. Brendan Toner, associate professor of political science
Sylvia Cooper, graduate and international admissions executive assistant
Staff Award for Distinguished Service
Abigail Butler, administrative specialist II
Adjunct Faculty Award
Philippe Van Houtte, visiting lecturer of French and systems librarian
Mentor Award for Distinguished Student Advising
Dr. James Stobaugh, associate professor of sociology
Members of the ATU College of Arts and Humanities faculty who reached service milestones during the 2024-25 academic year and those who achieved promotions during 2024-25 were also honored.
