ATU Nursing Program Contributes to Project Linus

Project Linus 2026

Arkansas Tech University nursing students participated in the national Project Linus community service project during a gathering the weekend of Oct. 10.

Operating under the auspices of the ATU Student Nurses Association and the Omega Iota chapter of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, the ATU nursing students made 25 fleece blankets that will be donated to children who are seriously ill, traumatized or otherwise in need. They were assisted by ATU nursing faculty and friends.

Named after the character from the “Charlie Brown” cartoon strip and subsequent motion pictures, Project Linus has more than 300 chapters across the United States. Nationwide, the program has made more than 10 million blankets available to children since it was founded in 1995.
