Women’s Week 2019 at ATU March 4-7

“Balance for Better” is the theme of Arkansas Tech University’s Women’s Week 2019, which will be presented by the ATU Division of Student Affairs beginning on Monday, March 4.

The week will culminate with the 2019 ATU Women’s Leadership Conference from 4:30-9:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 7.

Alexa Carlin (photographed), founder and chief executive officer of Women Empower X, will serve as the keynote speaker.

Those interested in attending the conference must register on theLINK by 5 p.m. on Friday, March 1.

Walk a Mile in Her Shoes

Male students, faculty and staff demonstrate their commitment to preventing sexual violence against women by donning red high heels and taking a walking tour of campus.

Women of Color and Hair in the Workplace

A discussion of why hair is important to women and the struggles that women of color often face when it comes to selecting hairstyles for the workplace.

Art Exhibit Open House

ATU student artworks associated with the “Balance for Better” theme will be on display. The contest winner will be announced and light refreshments will be served.
