Their commissioning ceremony guest speaker was Major Gen. Gary W. Johnston, a 1987 graduate of ATU and a member of the ATU U.S. Army ROTC Hall of Honor.

Perrot is from Phoenix, Ariz. He graduated from Arkansas Tech on May 11 with a Master of Arts degree in history.

He previously earned his bachelor’s degree in history from Duke University, where he was a member of the Blue Devils football team.

Perrot earned the U.S. Army ROTC Distinguished Military Graduate honor, which is reserved for qualified students who rank in the top 20 percent of ROTC cadets in the nation.

A native of Little Rock, Singleton has been chosen to receive a health professional scholarship from the U.S. Army that will allow him an educational delay to complete medical school before beginning his service to country.

Singleton received his Bachelor of Science degree in biology with a biomedical emphasis from ATU on May 12.

He will be re-branched into the U.S. Army Medical Corps upon completion of medical school.
